Calling all women farmers!

Join us to learn about REAP grants and renewable energy at Lick Skillet Farm! Lick Skillet Farm raises 100% grass finished beef and pastured pork, lamb, chicken, and eggs.

Their mission is to make the world a better place by providing customers the best possible food, respectfully caring for animals in a manner that restores and protects the environment, and creating an ideal place for families to live and work.

We will plan to learn about the history of their farm, what funding they've received and see how they've incorporated renewable energy into their vision. We will also be joined by Chance Lamb from Rural Development to talk about the Rural Energy for America Program (REAP), and how you can apply and implement it on your own farm. Representatives from Solar Alliance will also be there to answer any questions you may have.

Finally, we will end the night with a potluck. Please bring a side dish or dessert. Lick Skillet will be providing the meat, and asks that you please REGISTER IN ADVANCE HERE so they know how much to cook!

Bring cash or a check and a cooler to purchase fresh meat from their farmstand!

We are super excited for this session! Carpooling is encouraged.
